Full Hour Lessons
To better serve you, we make sure that all our instructors give a full 60 mins of instruction for each hour paid – some driving schools that advertise cheap lessons only give 45/50 mins tuition! Some companies even have two pupils in the car taking turns at driving... Avoid these companies as we don't want you to lose out on such bad deals.

Although prices vary according to location, we will try to get the best deal for you. Students usually receive a discount on producing their student card.

Information about Driving Courses

• Hourly / Weekly You can book 1-hour or 2-hour lessons per week, each week. Most people learn to drive this way, but it will probably take you about 30 to 40 hours of training to reach test standard.

• Block Bookings Pre-pay 10 or even 20 hours to gain a discount. Split these times up as you want 1, 1.5,or 2-hour lessons. This is a more intense driving course but you would reach test standard much quicker. Most driving instructors recommend 2 to 3 hours per week with lots of practice with family and friends when you have gained some driving experience.

• Semi-intensive driving lessons 4 to 8 hours per week. These intensive driving lessons would probably have you to test standard in around 30 hours training. Fast enough for most people if you remember you also need to pass your theory test before you book a practical driving test. Waiting times for driving tests vary but are usually around 6/8 weeks.

• Intensive driving course 8 hours and more per week. Intensive driving courses suit people who have passed their theory test and already have driving experience. Pupils who take intensive driving course usually have good reasons to learn this way ie. need a licence quickly for their job. These intense driving courses need to be planned by passing a theory test and then booking a driving test and arranging intensive driving lessons to start and finish just before the planned test date. Problem with this is what if your training does not go as planned, its now too late to cancel your test you lose your test fee, or worse still go and fail your test! According to the Driving Standards Agency pass rates for intensive driving courses are much lower than weekly and semi-intensive driving lessons (government figures).
   
• Pass Plus 6 hours + training after practical test is passed which includes motorway and night driving . This course can be taken with any registered instructor within one year of passing your test to gain a certificate which entitles you to a discount of 25/30 % off insurance with most companies. Savings of £500 to £1000 can be made. This is not another driving test, it is a course of instruction with a driving instructor. • Refresher Driving Courses For people who have passed their driving test but need some lessons to build confidence and increase awareness of traffic.

• Motorway lessons. Recommend ALL pupils under the age of 21 who pass their driving test to take the pass plus driving course( see info page). All people who pass their test should consider taking at least 2 hours instruction on motorway driving from a qualified instructor. Motorways are frightening places even for some drivers with years of experience.
